	DANCE MARATHON PARTY TONIGHT!! Tonight is the night we dance till we drop! Join us for one of our most popular events: Sandburg & DCS Dance Marathon Party! TONIGHT from 6:30-8:00 pm. Watch your kids show off the dance skills they learned during PE and Music this week. Our fabulous DJ, Galen Sauve, will be spinning tunes from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm in the commons. This is not a drop off event, please plan to attend with your children. There will be concessions available so you may want to bring cash for snacks.

PICTURE DAY IS COMING! OCTOBER 11th

Order packets were sent home to be brought back on picture day.

If you are a volunteer at Sandburg/DCS, you are welcome to stop by any time throughout the day to get your picture taken to receive your own volunteer badge.

CONFERENCE WEEK LUNCHES

During conference weeks in October and January, each grade level helps to provide lunches for the staff at Sandburg & DCS. October conference week is coming up! Third, 4th and 5th grades will be providing the items for the lunches. Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd garde families will be providing items for the lunches during the January conference week.

HEARING & VISION SCREENING

October 24th from 9:00-2:00pm

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! Volunteers will meet in the library at 9:05 to receive training and instructions.

Volunteers will help screen, escort classes, and monitor traffic flow (Assignments will be given that morning).

SUSTAINABILITY CORNER

HERBICIDE FREE WORK PARTY
Sunday, Oct 6 9-11 am
Everyone is welcome. We’ll be spreading the mulch that is in the corner of the south parking lot. Please come if you can! Tell your friends with High School & Middle School students. All are welcome.

STUDENT GREEN TEAM
Thanks to Ms. Erin Subcleff for stepping up to run our student Green Team!!! She is an amazing person & teacher & will fill this role beautifully. Thank you Erin for helping our kids be leaders in Sustainability!

PLAYGROUND USA MAP REFRESH!
Huge thanks to artist Mini Griffin & her team of talented painters: our USA map on the playground is looking great! We were intending on accomplishing this before school started at our Community Serve Day, but for various reasons it couldn’t happen. Mini saved the day! And before the real rainy season too!

Lost and Found is FULL and overflowing!

If your kiddo puts their jacket in the recess bin encourage them to remember to pick it up after recess.

Items will be donated on Monday, October 21st.
